Exciting Opportunities

I am excited to announce that I have been asked to work side by side with several artists to create a large metal sculpture to be displayed in a public place. It is a very exciting and extremely nerve wracking opportunity and ultimately a complete honor to be included in such a project. We will begin the planning phase soon where we will brainstorm ideas to create a cohesive piece. I know the deliberations will be difficult, but I believe that we will be able to work together to create an amazing piece that we will all be proud to be a part of. We will then create a proposal to be approved, which is an exciting learning opportunity for me because I have never been included in a public display before, and do not know what all is involved in the process. What I am most excited about is building our creation. We will spend several months in the beginning of next year creating our piece. I'm not sure if it will be completely fabricated or if it will include metal cast elements, but I am very excited to work hands on next to my peers. Our installation should be completed by next June, and I plan to keep blogging updates with our progress.
